Something for a rainy day
Gloucester’s leisure quarter offers beautiful waterside views and has everything you need for a day out with the family. Take a stroll around the outlet shopping centre and grab yourself a bargain, or watch a film at the cinema. The Waterways Museum is a great stop for anyone who enjoys learning about local history, and there is an array of bars and restaurants to stop at for refreshments.

An outdoor adventure
Covering over 40 square miles and 170 lakes, Cotswold Water Park offers many leisure activities to discover this October half-term, from wilderness skills and angling to horse riding and golf.
You will never be short of wildlife to see as the wetlands are home to a huge number of watering birds. By visiting the park you can contribute to the Cotswold Water Park Trust, which is a wildlife conversation charity that also helps make it possible for people to visit this amazing location.

Halloween activity for the kids
Just a normal farm back in 1992, Cattle Country Adventure Farm Park is now one of the best local family attractions in the area. Activities inclu outdoor play areas, meeting the farm animals, the climbing net, tractor rides and so much more. Adults can enjoy some refreshments at the cafe while the children let off some steam!
Distance from hotel: only a 27-minute drive.
Our favourite place
Perfect for an outdoor family adventure, the beautiful Bourton-on-the-Water has a vast array of attractions and things to do, such as horse riding at the Equestrian Centre, visiting penguins at the Birdland Park and Gardens, and seeing Borton Model Railway. There are also shops, restaurants, tea rooms to be visited. We recommend taking a stroll down the River Windrush and seeing the beautiful bridges along the way.
